She held stock in a company called ImClone and had a close relationship with the firm's CEO. She sold all her stock holdings shortly before the firm suffered a severe financial setback and its stock price plummeted so low as to make the stock virtually worthless. The government, and her stockbroker's assistant, said it was because she got inside information from her CEO friend. Stewart said it was a coincidence and her broker had orders to sell the stock when it fell to a certain price. The investigation is continuing.
