Good, bad, whatever!!!

Opposite of my other thread. Horrors that were once thought of as great, but are now rubbish. I'm gonna be a bit fairer here, and not allow reasons like, old effects or old fashioned.

Dracula :Hammers original. I used to adore this, and not just as a kid, now it just seems dull and boring

It. Never got the the hype over this, or the shining. Both frequently quoted as terrifying, but both seemed dull, slow and completely unscarey to me. Even now, when I can analyse them more critically, i still don't like em

Night of the living dead. I used to love this and thought it was the scariest old film ever. Nowadays I'm just puzzled as to how it gets the plauditry it does

More????

I don't think anyone thinks of those films as "rubbish" now, well, except for you...

It means you're getting old. ::big grin::
Having said that, I never cared for any of the Stephen King movies except for Christine, 'Salem's Lot, Silver Bullet, and Maximum Overdrive. I liked the first "Night of the Living Dead", but not the remake or the sequels. As you get older, you tend to pay more attention to the plot instead of the action, and a lot of really popular books, TV shows, and movies have incredibly stupid plots.

I completely disagree with you. Especially about Hammer.

All the horror I watched as a kid, 12-17 I still adore. Shrug. I'll still even watch Muppet Babies on The Real Ghost Busters on youtube once or twice a year. Brilliant cartoon's for kids.
