Horror movie that everyone owns

Ok maybe not everyone.

I'm kicking around some ideas for my Horroritis stuff, and it got me thinking. What is the most commonly owned horror movie? Or at least the most accessible horror movie.

Any thoughts?

That people own? My guess would be Interview With the Vampire.

Kinda random, Boss. Although I can't say I haven't at least seen that one.

Classics would probably be your best bet. The slashers and monster films that everyone has at least heard of and most likely seen at least one of. But considering we all like different stuff in the horror genre it's hard to say from my end.

They really don't have to own it. I guess I'm just looking the one that would be most accessible to most people.

I think a very commonly owned (kinda horror I guess) movie would be the first Ghostbusters.

I'm not saying its the best, just the one most likely to be owned by the most people.

A film that is strictly horror that is accessible...depends on the generation. Like 15 yearolds now would most likely laugh at The Gate, but 20 years ago it would be very accessible. I think it varies too much from person to person.

Do you have a specific audience in mind?

Night of the Living Dead 1968. ::cool::
