The Crow remake

At least its likely it won't be as bad as the first one, the fact being the first one was so bad.

I remember really liking the original... one of the sequels however I don't remember as fondly. But it's been a while since I watched any.

A remake explains why I found the original on Netflix. Added it to my watch list, so I'll have to come back with a more updated opinion.

Nope, No. This is just so wrong.

The Crow is a masterpiece, leave it alone.

I completely disagree. I got the graphic novel and then found out six months later the film was coming out. I was all excited, tried to get into the premiere, but was too young. I eventually rented it and it was awful. They took a beautiful work if art/fiction and turned it into...I guess since its recent, i'll use it...turned it into a Mad Max cartoon. In the graphic novel the bad guys were suited gangsters, in the movie the were comic book villains/henchmen. It was just bad. The gloom of the graphic novel wasn't used. The theme mimicked by the Joy Division and Cure lyrics in the comic wasn't even remotely there. The comic Draven's style was early 80's goth. The movie Draven was hollywoodized into some sort cheap, even for Hot Topic, Hot Topic poster guy. Fuck all awful.

BUT if you liked it great. : )

I never read the graphic novel and I'm sorry it didn't sit well for you but I and alot of others adore this film, music, atmosphere and all.

Agreed.

That is why I'm into indie/underground cinema.....way better chance to find something unique.

I highly recommend the original graphic novel. Very good read/visual. The only music I liked was The Cure's "Burn" which is an amazing song.
