Identify movie challenge . . .
 

Hi everyone.

I need help trying to identify a horror movie from the late 70s, or very early 80s that had a scene in it where a mutilated body, or monster was being lowered down either the inside of a lighthouse or white stairway.

I've been haunted by this scene for decades (I'm 39), and it's one of my earliest memories.

I have absolutely no idea what movie this was from . . . so, any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
