We Love Horror Movies
 

Ordinarily I would not post about stuff like this, but I am really angry right now. I will post what happened there: I have been removed and banned from the Facebook group We Love Horror Movies for disagreeing with its creator Richard. Someone named Claudia shared her view that she believed that the film The Awakening was a five star film, Richard believed that it was only a four star film. He later banned her for disagreeing with him. Then, he banned her friend when he asked why she was removed. Personally, I have and always will hate drama and that is not why I joined that group, but the creator can not tolerate alternate views. I proceeded to defend Claudia and Jason and was banned for doing so. Anyway, if you find this group do not join it, if you are still a member you should leave because if you don't and you disagree with its creator you may be banned. Most of the people on here know that I am really respectful and would not have been banned, unless I said something that someone disagreed with.

I haven't been a member here for very long, but I definitely have the impression that you are very respectful of other people's opinions, and have a very mature way of expressing your views when you disagree with someone.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience... banning someone for having a different taste in movies, or even fighting over it, is absolutely ridiculous and childish.

That's a bummer man. I hate that kind of stuff. Things can get out of hand real quick on the internet. Don't take it too hard. You seem like a real respectful and nice person to me.

There are thousands of groups on FB. That sounds like a crappy one. Be glad you're out of it and find some others to join.

Disturbing news. Horror fans have too many common enemies to be eating their own.

I hate this. Differences of opinion are what makes everything interesting. But it's amazing the amount of trolls who go over the top and get personal when you state an opinion they don't agree with.

My suggestion is get over it.
If a fuckwit like that is in a position of power it'll be a matter of simply moving on or kissing some e-ass to sate their ego thirst and get back in their good graces.
Fuck 'em.

You're running dangerously close to being part of it yourself...just forget about it, don't bring it here. Don't try to convince people not to go or whatever.
Just move on, be adult, realise they're a fuckhead, and proceed with your life.

I posted this right after it happened and I was still a little surprised and angry by it. To be honest, I had never encountered anything like it before and I simply did not believe that the largest group on Facebook would have this issue.

As for the drama aspect, just because someone hates drama, does not mean that they will never be a part of it. To be honest, as I mentioned, I posted this to blow off some steam. I merely wanted people here to be aware that that happened to me in that group. They may join whichever group they want, but I wanted them to be aware. I have moved on since.
