Helsing, Van Helsing

Just saw this movie.....It Kicks Ass!! I just wanted to point out some things....like the similarties between Van Helsing and Wolverine(Not only appearance, Jackman makes the characters alot alike). I also wanted to ask if I was the only one who hated Drac's wives....

i hated drac's wives, drac, anna valerious.... everything ( well, maybe not jackman ) ! movie bored me out of my skull... ugh ! thank god i didn't have to pay.

but you're right, there are a lot of similarities between the two characters ( mainly that both wolverine and van helsing are searching for their past )

INMO this movie blowed big ones

the film was ok, but too much overuse of the CG, bits looked too cartoony, like when Hellsings the wolf and jumps all over the place, wtf is that all about.

and those silly midget things with the masks, ???

Ok, so this guy takes 3 legacies and fucks them beyond recognition, but I still managed to enjoy it. I thought the brides were great. They were catty little bitches, and they did it well. I enjoyed what they did with Frankenstein's monster. Since I was a kid I have always wanted him to be a good guy. I guess he is a good guy in Monster Squad as well though. I didn't like that he was able to talk so much. It kind of pissed me off. My favorite part of the entire movie was the beginning. The black and white made me feel like I was watching true classic horror. It is a horrible movie but it kept me entertained.

what would you expect from the man who brought us mummy 1 & 2

Rebel Yell 05-31-2004 01:56 PM

I was a fan of The Mummy. Not a huge fan, but I was also entertained by it's cheese. Now the Mummy 2 was too horrible to even enjoy the cheese.

Agreed. The film had potential which is a shame....

Nowadays everyone is trying to out-do everyone else in the field of special effect. They don't realize that in most cases it just looks cheesy. Now if people would stick to stop-motion, the world would be a better place.
