Not another fu#$*ng tournament
 

Am I the only one who is tired of all these tournaments popping up here. One every once in a while is ok but DAMN...there has got to be about six going now. They don't really promote any conversation other than one or two word answers. Sorry if I'm in the minority, but I just had to vent a bit.

I find it strange that so many people have a problem with tournaments on here. They are all clearly labeled in their title and if you don't like them, then just don't go to them. I know that if a particular thread does not interest me, I simply don't go to it.

It is my opinion that these tournaments do a great deal in keeping this forum active. They are some of the only threads that members can reply to a couple times a day and that gives people reasons to check back in to the site more frequently.

If it wasn't for these tourneys, I'd probably pop in to this site twice a week and not feel like I missed anything. But with tournaments of this nature, I check in twice a day and I still sometimes miss a round of voting.

Newb, please note that I am not knocking your comment by any means. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It just baffles me how there can be so much animosity towards these types of threads. (And it's not just from you. There's a large handful of people that don't like these.)

I'm fine with the ones we have now, but I don't think we need to add anymore. 6 or 7 is enough.

I dont care really. They help my post count, so they're fine with me.

Ill agree that they are getting a bit old. There are just to damn many, i dont even look in the member tournament thread, i only really check out the dvd art one now...
