hello
my user name is iamghostface, i recently got into horror movies, inspired by my life long love of scream, so now that im into the genre, what should i watch? and by that i mean, What horror movies are a MUST see?
|
Don't neglect the classics. THE WOLF MAN (1941) with Lon Chaney, Jr. and Robert Wise's THE HAUNTING (1963) are a couple of good places to start. I'd also recommend THE OMEN with Gregory Peck (if the film doesn't frighten you the extremely creepy theme by Jerry Goldsmith will) and Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING (1980) as films well worth your while.

Welcome to HDC!
If you liked Scream you should maybe check out some of the slashers it was referencing like The Burning, The Prowler, Intruder, Black Christmas and of course the Friday The 13th series. |
Welcome to the forum!
I, of course, am partial to the Hammer Studios films with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. |

Welcome to the forum I think you would love a lot of the teen slasher horror comedies from the 80s era-Return To Horror High, Cutting Class, Slaughter High, Pieces, Student Bodies.
|
Man I love Slaughter High. Totally forgot about Student Bodies pretty funny stuff you can totally see where Scary Movie got it's cues from.

Yeah Student Bodies was great back in the day. I watched it last year and it sort of didn't hold up. National Lampoons Class Reunion did though. But I was pretty altered, so who really knows. |
thanks for the suggestions
