How to I change the caption under my forum name?

just go to edit your profile and next to "custom user text" you should see it... see, easy !

I changed the line, hit reset, and hit submit modifications a few times but it was the same everytime I checked it, and the box was empty again. Did I miss something? Seems easy enough.
Even tried hitting reset. No change.
