Hola and greetings, people!

So...yeah...hello.

Just to get things started, I got into horror quite late at the tail-end of 17. The first horror movie I ever saw, so far as I can remember at least, was American Werewolf In London. I'd avoided horror up to that point as I'll admit, I'm not exactly the bravest of people and thought horror films would be too scary for me to even enjoy.

I actually discovered I quite liked horror films and (to date) I've never seen a film that I had to stop watching because it was "too much" (although, as it currently stands, there are lines I won't cross. Some of the more infamous cannibal titles, prolonged sexual-horror elements etc.) Maybe when I'm a little more reckless in my taste I might check these out.

So, as for my tastes, well, I stand for a common belief that your first horror movies that you see remain your favourites and even though I only started with horror a few years ago, my taste tends to lean around the 1970's, but I've watched and enjoyed films from all different eras.

Favourites (originals, unless stated):
The first three Romero "Dead" films (I like the later stuff, but not as much)
The Wicker Man
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Suspiria
American Werewolf In London
H.G Lewis films (a horror guilty pleasure)
The Evil Dead trilogy (Especially the first one)
Eraserhead (horror?)
The Shining
Black Christmas (controversially, I prefer this to Halloween)
Halloween
Carrie
John Carpenter's The Thing
Alien
Frankenstein
Nosferatu (both the original and the Herzog remake, which I slightly prefer)
Freaks
Lucio Fulci's "Gates Of Hell" trilogy (City Of The Living Dead/The Beyond/House By The Cemetery.)

...probably some I left out.
