Pretty interesting read. Thoughts?

As far as I remember Dead of Night was the first British Horror movie to be made after the war. During WWII Britain totally suppressed the making and distribution of the genre as they thought it was bad for public morale.

I would say this also added to its success.

Generally good run down of anthology horror films- especially the early ones.
