Can you guys name a few horror movies directed by women? I can only think of Pet Sematary right now. The earth is more than ready for movies directed by them and I wonder why there aren't much.

Was'nt Near Dark directed by a woman?

Kathryn Bigelow, she wrote and directed the movie!, I think its the best vampire film ever made!

The Slumber Party massacre series, which was also written by women. Hmm... Isn't it interesting that the horror series with the highest participation of female artists also turned out to be the most exploitative piece of crap the eighties gave birth to?

'Monster' was directed by a woman. It's not really a horror film, more of a thriller though. I actually met her as well, she was at the Florida Film Festival this year, and she's HOT as well!

i think women can do an outstanding job doing horror flicks they have the creativity and know how to do weird things and i think a women can pull it off just needs to try their hardest to do so
