Horror movie title, NOT "The Gate"?
 

Trying to remember a PG13 horror movie with a similar plot start as "The Gate" but a different moive.

In the movie I'm trying to remember, 3 boys dig a hole to "hell" in the back yard and various monsters emerge. Many of these monsters are old style Holllywood types, like Dracula or Frankenstein's Monster.

Next door is an old man whom the kids get advice from, because "he's seen many monsters" in his day. We then see a concentration camp tattoo on his left arm.

Eventually the Frankenstein Monster turn out to be "good" and helps save the kids.

NOT "The Gate" but often mistaken for it. What is the movie I'm looking for? Thanks!
