Would you go to the police, or would you hide the body?
 

A pretty common trope in horror movies... You and your friends are out having a good time and then, Oops!! either by some kind of elaborate but poorly-conceived prank OR through just sheer accident - someone dies.

What do you do?

Do you call the police, at the risk of punishment, jail time, and reputation ruin?

or

Do you hide the body?

Keep in mind your current location and situation - Maybe you live conveniently close to a coal mine, cliff or bog... Or maybe you don't. Maybe you're friends with the Chief of Police (or are blowing him under his desk)... Or maybe you won't.

What would you do?

I've always thought they're idiots for covering up. To be honest, it isn't the risk of further punishment when it is discovered that I was lying that would force me to turn myself in, but just the fact that the family deserve to know.

I would go to the police. I'm not guilty of anything.


And you mean what's the WORST that could happen.

I hid the body....I ment uhh i would hide the body. I mean what is the worst that could happen? Right?

I wouldn't have to choose because i'd be the unlucky one who dies XD

That's why that option is only utilized in the movies or by real life morons.

I think that I would tell the police... While I'd like to say "it's the honorable thing to do..." "their family has a right to know..." Quite frankly, I don't think that I could possibly live with the guilt and the weight of the secret. So, for purely selfish reasons I would fess up...

Plus I have no idea where I'd dump the body near me... There's a nature conservation with a pond, so I suppose I could weigh it down... Then again, I also suppose that it would depend on where we accidentally killed them... If it's conveniently in an already-remote location, then that will definitely aid the cover-up. But if, say, it happened in my apartment - I have two sets of neighbors in my building plus other apartments and houses nestled pretty close to me... We'd have to chop up the body first for easy transport... And I'm not sure if we own the appropriate tools. I have a hatchet, but that might be too small for the job...

Loot the body then call the police.

Don't hide it unless you want a meat hook in your eye.

i'd pack the body up in a garbage bag and drag it into the police station, then slam it on a detective's desk saying, "i found this".
