Extremes In Temperature

If I seemed very cranky in my posts yesterday there's a reason.

I live on Long Island and a good portion of the Northeast part of the U.S. is experiencing a monstrous heat wave. The temperature stood at 105 degrees for most of the day, and it's expected to reach that again for the next couple of days. I can't recall it ever being this hot on Long Island before and I've lived here all my life.

Sorry for the rant, but when the temperature reaches over 100 degrees or goes below zero (which we also experienced this past winter) I tend to get edgy.

A lovely cool 69 degrees in L.A. It might get up to the high seventies.

I think I'lll go for a hike and then lounge by the pool before the evening fog and cool air rools in;)

Temperatures here aren't quite that extreme but its hotter than I'm comfortable with. Shame that all my bright clothes are packed for the holiday, I'm stuck in jeans and black tees here!

Are you from the U.K.? ScouseMac and FerretChucker said something about a heat wave in their area (not sure what part of England they're from, but I assume Scouse is from Liverpool).
