The "how did they do that thread?" Or "I know how they did that" thread

Name a particular scene you love or hate.

Don't know how it was made? Ask.
Know how it was made? Tell us!

I've always loved the movie Christine since I was a kid. Growing up I had no clue how they were able to make the car morph back into itself after being all beat up. Turns out (as I'm sure you all know) they made several plastic bodys. The scene where the car rebuilds itself in the garage was made by mounting hydraulics attached to the fenders, hood, and grille, to pull the car in on itself. For the movie they just reversed the film to make it look like it rebuilt itself. Clever I say. :)

How about that crazy sex scene in "The Howling"... it gets all blurry and almost looks animated. Was it?

As such I could not explain you the scene in words so I am posting a pic of that scene from 2012 which I am always wondering how the creators would have made it.
