Disappointing Films Of Past 20 Years

These are some films that I had high expectations for and felt quite let down by:

American Psycho (2000)
High Tension (2003)
Jacob's Ladder (1990)
A Tale Of Two Sisters (2003)
The Village (2004)
Splinter (2008)
Slither (2006)
Shaun Of The Dead (2004)
Army Of Darkness (1992)
The Exorcism Of Emily Rose (2005)

What films did you have high expectations for that really let you down?

Have to agree about Mother Of Tears. I loved Suspiria and Inferno, but was pretty disappointed by this one.

Some Others:

Cure (1997)
Pulse (2001)
Cemetery Man (1994)

good question i think!looked forward to creep but was nothing special.friday and tcm remakes, not a patch on the original.i really enjoyed haute tension, thought it was great and only really brought it as the review i read and i only read 1,sounded good and it got ten out of ten.one film i wasnt looking forward too was paranormal activity.was only a 15 and i dont usually bother unless its an 18,but i really enjoyed it.

Definitely back the American Psycho call. Total letdown. It's not "clever" its diluted and bland and a total insult to the source material.

Did you read the book? Was the ending different to the movie's?

Matrix sequels
NOES 2010...and, well, most NOES films after #3.
Rob Zombies stuff
Amityville remake
X-Men origins - Wolverine
Omen 4
Most Simon Pegg post "Shaun".
Romeros post 2000 films
Final Destination 3&4
Universal Soldier - Regeneration
Critters 3&4
AVP movies
Every second "Broken Lizard" film post Super Troopers.

Those are what come immediately to mind.
