Maniac Cop films

I just saw the first two maniac cop films, a pretty good ride. The cop has an exelent backstory to what screwed him up, basically hes kinda like jason from friday the 13th, hes come back from the dead and nothin really hurts him, bullets do nothing, and in the end of the first to make a second he survives being impaled and drowned. Youd think he might be kinda like a vigalantee but no, the one thing i dont like is it doesnt really explain who he targets, at least in the first one. He just kills random people who often get lured into saftey by his uniform. But dispite the reason behind the killings i also gotta say the kills scenes were a little unorigional. Mostly just stabbing with his trademark knife that is disguised as a police batton, but its really the sheath for the knife. Anyway these films were a tiny bit of a dissapointment in the kill scenes but overall its an interesting story and both first films (havent seen the 3rd yet) provide enough scares an suspense to make it a decent watch. Id have to rate it like 6/10, not the best but worth seeing once at least.

+ the first one's starring Bruce Campbell.

Maniac Cop films are good directed by my favorite director Larry Cohen who must be the daftest film maker ever.:)

Love the first two but wasn't big on the third flick.

Bill Lustig directed. Larry Cohen was the writer.

The first one was a lot of fun, haven't seen any of the others.
