Questionnaire on horror/zombies!
hey yeah me and a friend at college are creating a short zombie film and need to post up questionnaires and stuff for research so yeah. please can you take the time to fill in this short questionnaire (just copy and paste)
cheers :) 1.Do you like horror films? 2. What is your age? 3. What is your gender? 4. What is your favourite subgenre of horror (Thriller, physiological, slasher, zombie ... etc) 5. In your opinion, what makes a good horror film? 6. In your opinion, what makes a bad horror film? (if you answered 'zombies' for question 4, then please carry on with the questionnaire, if not thanks for your time.) 7. What is your favourite zombie film and why? 8. What is your least favourite film and why? 9. What would YOU personally like to see in a zombie film? Thanks. |
So, even if zombie films are not our absolute favorite type of horror film, you don't want to know what zombie films we like or don't?
Your research model is flawed. In order for a film to be successful, it must appeal to more than a certain narrow audience segment. I actually work in market research for the movie industry, and even when we study the release of horror films we'll collect a sample of general moviegoers and a "horror fan" sample- horror fans being defined as viewers who have gone to see a high per centage of horror releases from the last few years, and not just people who consider themselves fans of the genre. |

1.Do you like horror films?
No shit. 2. What is your age? Irrelevant question, so I'll give you an irrelevant answer, 20-30. 3. What is your gender? Also irrelevant. Male. 4. What is your favourite subgenre of horror (Thriller, physiological, slasher, zombie ... etc) Noir 5. In your opinion, what makes a good horror film? Good story, pacing, acting and realistic characters. 6. In your opinion, what makes a bad horror film? Anything that is opposite of what I stated in my answer above. (if you answered 'zombies' for question 4, then please carry on with the questionnaire, if not thanks for your time.) 7. What is your favourite zombie film and why? Why narrow it to zombie films? 8. What is your least favourite film and why? Far too many to list. 9. What would YOU personally like to see in a zombie film? Maybe something slightly more original, than a group of teenagers with a camera, making a zombie film. Thanks. No, thank you. |
There's physiological horror. Videodrome, Tetsuo, The Fly. All Physiological horror stories. Also, your questionnaire is boring and I've been drinking. I'm not participating.

That must have been quite the experience. Try Flood by They Might be Giants with Nosferatu. It feels strangely right even as its blatantly wrong.

1.Do you like horror films? Yeah
2. What is your age? 17 3. What is your gender? Male 4. What is your favourite subgenre of horror (Thriller, physiological, slasher, zombie ... etc) Either mystical horror (i.e. Hellraiser) 5. In your opinion, what makes a good horror film? Innovation, blood, grim imagery, and intense atmosphere. 6. In your opinion, what makes a bad horror film? Terribly slow pacing, extremely cheap effects, bad camera angles, generic storyline, and Charles Band 7. What is your favourite zombie film and why? White Zombie or Night of the Living Dead. Night of the Living Dead, even though being made quite a while ago, it still packs quite a punch. The movies influence in irrefutable and I definitely feel it makes the perfect atmosphere.
