horror VS terror

are horror and terror different emotions or the same thing??

Horror tends to be shock at something scary whilst terror would be fear for one's self.

That's how I see them.

For me horror is like "Oh, that is fucked." while terror is like "Fuck. Fuckfuckfuck."

So uhm.. horror is a deep understanding of how something is messed up or scary. Like a psychological movie is horrifying. Terror is an outright panic. So messed up that you can't think straight.

Horror is watching someone take a sledgehammer to the testicles.
Terror is the realisation that you're next in line.

lmao, I don't actually have testicles but I'm pretty sure I'd be terrified anyway.
