I see this has secured financing after being a rumor for many years.

Can't wait to see Savini behind the camera again. His version of NOTLD was exceptional.

I should watch that again - I only saw it once when it came out and I wasn't impressed. I must give it another go.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for it I guess. Saw it as a teenager and it kicked my ass... saw it before the original and it turned me onto the original series.

Its one of the few remakes to escape the firing squad of criticism.

It's up there with The Thing, The Fly and The Blob.

I also dig that remake. I recorded my VHS copy off HBO way back in the day. I look forward to Savini in the directors chair again.
