What are Stephen King's best books?

I'm looking for other people's opinions on what five books you would classify as Stephen King's best books. My five can be seen here.....................

This, but I would reverse 1 and 4.

These are mine:

1. IT
2. The Stand
3. The Gunslinger (Dark Tower 1 - the only one I have read so far)
4. Firestarter
5. Misery

1 - The Stand
2 - The Shining
3 - The Dark Tower (series)
4 - Salem's Lot
5 - It

(a bit of a preference for King's early work here -- when it was more horror than literary)

The Mist is a 1980 novella - you can find it in his collection Skeleton Crew

I've only read The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Cujo and Carrie. Currently working my way through Pet Sematary.

I would say:

1. The Stand
2. Needful Things
3. Pet Sematary
4. Misery
5. It's not horror, but under a different pen name King wrote a novella that became The Shawshank Redemption, which is just as perfect a gem in novella form as in film.
