At the beginning there is mention of an Eastern Committee and its members. I think the hint to the codenames comes from there.
Hmm...this is getting really intriguing.
Last time it was 8 codenamed senior members, this time its 8 codenamed Indian Gods.

Think so? Personally I could care less, they're entertaining. Although when they first started popping up I just dismissed them as spam and skimmed through the first couple.
