SNL reunion of sorts in Adam Sandler's next
Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph and Colin Quinn have joined the cast of the untitled Adam Sandler comedy at Columbia Pictures.
Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade have already boarded the project, which revolves around five best friends from high school who reunite 30 years later on a Fourth of July weekend. Hayek will play the wife of Sandler's character and Rudolph will portray Rock's spouse. Dennis Dugan is onboard to direct the pic, which is scheduled to begin lensing in the summer. Sandler penned the screenplay with "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star" scribe Fred Wolf. The untitled pic is shaping up to be a reunion for "Saturday Night Live" alums. Former castmembers Rudolph and Quinn join Sandler, Rock, Schneider, Spade and Wolf, who all spent time on the long-running series. Sandler's Sony-based Happy Madison shingle is producing. Hayek, who has a recurring role on NBC's "30 Rock," will next be seen in Universal Pictures' "Cirque du Freak." |
The only one I don't really like is Maya Rudolph. I can sit back and laugh at the rest, well, as long as Rob Schneider isn't the sole main character.

She's not distinctly funny, but she wasn't bad in Idiocracy.

The ONLY one I would see this for is Kevin James.
