Jan 19th. My lucky day.

Today, I received a joined gift...a hydroponics setup....still needs a few bits 'n peices, but it's allll good.

Also got word back that there'll be a security course made available to me free of charge...not the best job to get into but the pays good, and it's for the better part easy, also recommended as a previous occupation for an animal services/protection officer....this will also financially support me through my animal studies.

Also, the biggest thing I had to deal with in the field of study I've chosen is t get a "foot in the door", today I received this by email:

Sorry I didnt get back to you yesterday, got busy at work and forgot to foward your email home.

At present we dont have any paid work at the clinic however this dose change regularly as the nurses go off to do tafe and other training.

You are more than welcome do some volunteer work at the clinic and should you prove to be capable this may result in some paid work (depending on availability).

We currently have one other volunteer on tuesday mornings, but any other day would be fine. I suggest you come in from the mornings as this is when everything happens and you will have an opportunity to watch surgery from 11am.

As of only recently we now require our volunteers to have their own personal insurance as we cant cover them for injury under our own policy. I believe QBE has such a policy for students for around $50 for 12 months, you may want to look around (I dont know much about it yet).

Anyway, give me a call if you have any questions and let me know how much and what day/days are good for you.

Cheers,
Kate
I mean, it's not paid but I so don't give a fuck right now...this is just what I've needed. I took a while to realise I had this calling and for anyone to let my in so easily at my age...this is such a big thing for me.

That's it, Jan 29 is my lucky day.

So FUCKIN' PSYCHED right now

Absolutely...I'm kind of half surprised it happened so soon...my studies don't begin 'til feb, I've got no idea what to do/watch...but I'm still gonna run with this.

So you're a time traveller as well? I know you're across the international date line from me, but I didn't realize it put you 10 days ahead of the rest of us!
