horror movie from 1960's
 

Hi,, does anyone remember the name of a horror movie from the 1960's that took place down south, maybe louisiana.. there was some kind of flesh eating slime stuff can came out of a chest that was located on a beat up old ship. this flesh eating stuff would get on you and disolve your flesh.. I know I don't have much to go on.. just hoping that someone remembered it from way back then.. it was a really creepy type movie..
