anybody heard of Ring Zero? Was just wondering what it's about... i personally didn't think 'The Ring' was that great.

Just Kidding. I have no idea what ring zero is.

Ring 0, AKA Ring 0: Birthday. It's a flashback to the last few months of Sadako's life. Mostly boring, irritating and awful, but the last fifteen minutes is fantastic, IMHO.

I have #1 & #2,
I thought the first one was much scarier and had more of a tense atmosphere than the US film (which I also saw, and it wasn't bad)
I haven't yet watched the second one....anyone who's seen it, is it any good?
As for #0, I want to buy it, if only to complete the collection....I am now wondering, mictlan, what is so great about the last 15 minutes? Is she like recording a tape, saying "Im gonna get these fuckers so bad, theyre gonna make 3 movies about me"???

I have an idea that this movie is a prequel. Are they going to be remaking it? along with ring 2.

I thought il just post them to clear them all up in case you dont about the series.I have seen all of them apart from Ring 0.

Without a spoiler it's hard to be specific... the pretty and kind Sadako that the film introduces changes in the last fifteen minutes. There's a sound effect that you hear as she walks that is pretty distrubing... and she demonstrates that she doesn't need videotapes to be scary or mess people up. It's intense. There's a nice pic here.

Hey, is it just me, or did they superimpose a face on that chica? The head looks way too big for the shoulders. And...I still say she's comprable the Reagan (not the Pres, but close).

no, no superimposition, that's an action shot. the screwed-up proportions are part of what makes the whole scene feel uneasy.
