The Deadly Spawn

I just watched this movie "the deadly spawn" - a very decent low-budget gore fest it was too (well at least i thought so). Just wondering if anyone else has seen it and what they thought. also does anyone know if there was a sequal, cuase if any movie deserves a more high budget follow up, it's this beauty. the creatures in it are really good it would be a shame if this was the first and last time we get to see em.

It had to be better than SPawn (the one based on the comic)..... I still get pissed that i paid 7 bucks and 2 hours on that piece of shit....

yeah that movie sucked fat dicks man - could have ruled if they'd have stopped trying to make the movie for all ages and put some real strong head shattering gore in it.

And effects, and acting, and a plot.

I mean, Martin Sheen SUCKED in that, and he is a great actor. How fucking bad is that?

I first caught a glimpse of "Deadly Spawn" on compilation tape called "Terror on Tape". If you ever come across this VHS you gotta pick it up. Cameron Mitchell is a video store owner introducing all this clips from 70's low budget gore movies, such as "The Slayer" and "Nightmares in a Damaged Brain" great stuff.
anyhoo..I went right out and rented "Deadly Spawn" and thought it was pretty good for the budget they had to work with.

yeah i managed to pick up a copy on DVD for £5.99. a company called vipco, who do some fine obscure horror, released it recently uncut and an uncut version of the burning. so i got em both.
also i just read somewhere that the same director released a movie in 99 called metamorphosis: return of the aliens or somthing like that and it was pimped off as a follow up to the deadly spawn - how much it has to do with the original i don't actually know but i will pick it up when i manage to find it
