The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

This silent German masterpiece is available now on DVD and the transfer is the best I have ever seen. The DVD I have is the Alpha Video transfer. The score is wonderful. If you have not seen this movie, do so as soon as you can. This is the movie that other subsequent horror movies are made after. The sets are angular, claustrophobic and spectacular. The feel of the movie is damn creepy. The storyline is unsurpassed. This is one of the movies that is the beginning of the horror genre. It's best to start with the best and "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" is just that. THE BEST.

That has been on DVD for years!
Saw this movie ages ago - very strange, couldn't really say I enjoyed it but I can certainly see how it was so influential and why its kept in such high regard. It's certainly a must see.

I enjoyed the movie. I saw it about 3 years ago. It was very artsy and entertaining. VERY INFLUENTIAL! :::prays no one makes a remake:::
