I'm at work for another half hour, then I'm outta here.

missmacabre 11-28-2008 07:37 AM

I'm here but I am in class.
I just had to go speak in front of like 60 people and I am still shaking. I can play the lead in a play but can't talk about ethics in a seminar. Blah.

i hate public speaking too.

i had to train people on how to use windows back in the day - i was terrified.

eventually i found that if i knew what i was talking about - (completely) then i was far more comfortable.

Rule # 1 ... if you dont know - dont bullshit. say you dont know - but you'll find out.

Well it was a matter of opinion. Basically asked that if you were a jr. programmer making a forms application to record the needed data for a loan application. The form doesn't ask for race or age. Are you obligated to say something? Who benefits from the flaw, what are the risks? So the group decides that race and age aren't necessary because that's racism and ageism. Then the one guy says "well race is important because some races are higher risk." Wtf? I just froze up and didn't know how to cover.

Yep. I died on the toilet, while eating a jelly doughnut.

yeah - thats one of those things where you say you have to check ...

higher risk or not ... it's probably not constitutional to go there.

ultimitely stupid people are an extremely high risk .. is there an iq test on the form ?

also - do you gamble

do you have unprotected sex

there's a ton of things that effect risk that you cant ask ..
