Since no one ever reads the filmmaker forum, I'm putting this here to get you to my post there. Check it out. There's 2 links. 1 is a trailer for the second short film I did, Everyday Hero, the other is the first short film I did, Witches Woods. Thanks. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

On a tight budget. :D Had to use old Halloween costumes for a few of the characters.

And thanks for checking it out.

Everyday Hero! I remember reading the screenplay for that! It was hilarious! I'm glad you made it and would be interested in seeing the whole thing. :)

As for Witches Woods, I thought it was okay. For most of the film it's shot in this bright and sunny (not very scary) woods that look more like a driveway than woods. Also, I would do without the music as I think it takes away from the stillness and eeriness of the woods and makes the sunniness even more prevelant. Lastly, I think it ended too soon, I think we needed to see a little more at the end as to what scared the last guy. So, I think you have a good idea, but I think it would be better if it were explored more, especially when it comes to sound since the horror is not what is seen, but what is not seen.

Thanks for checking them out.

Witches Woods was basically an experiment. I threw a script together on a couple pages of notebook paper in about an hour and we shot in it in 2 afternoons at the cabin. The real reason we made it was because I had just gotten my editing software and needed some footage to experiment and teach myself with so we weren't really going for storyline or character arcs there at all. We were just having fun in the woods to get me some fotoage and editing practice. :D

Everyday Hero we took a little more serious and actually tried to make an entertaining film. That script got written, then rewritten and shooting took us about 4-5 days. Characterization and storyline received a whole lot more attention on that one than it did on Witches Woods.

Thanks again for having a look. If and when I get it posted online somewhere, I'll make sure to let you know. :)
