Why do bad horror movies have critical acclaim on cover?
Like Touristas for example. Reads something like "a better and scarier film than Hostel."
Now HOSTEL may at be considered good but TOURISTAS was almost unwatchable. It was like a horror by numbers movie. Not as bad as "Army of the Dead" which I don't think had any quotes on the dvd cover. |
Because it helps sell the DVD.

This is funny there is a show about this on tvland channel Sony had a fake film reviewer "Phil Manning"
But if it says it is good and is not people might not trust that reviewer anymore. Seems silly |
Did you expect them to put a bad review on the cover?
|
No but just put no comments on the box. I guess it is the same as the videogame industry. There is a regulations on content but not quality. But bad movies and games must inspire people to make better games and movies.

There's alwasy somebody outthere who will say its a great film.then they'll have that person put it on the cover. But if you notice most of the crappy movies with good reviews on them are always by somebody or some site you've never heard of,at least most of the time.

Do you mean something like THIS? :p

I always thought it was pretty cool:cool: |
That's how I found HDC. I don't think it was HDC's comment on that particular movie, though.
