I've never felt so relieved! Have you??

Alright, so I finally got around to watch "the mist" tonight. And first off, I have to say I really enjoyed this film. It really suprised me. Anyways, there was a part of this movie which gave me the greatest damn feeling of relief; it was truly great!

Just to worn anyone who hasn't watched this movie, I will be describing a small part of this flick, which some may consider "spoiler material" , so i'll put up a.......

****SMALL SPOILER WARNING*******

I'll get to it now....

That damn religious bitch (not that theres anything wrong with her religion) annoyed me so F'N much with her constant blabbering and preaching that I wanted to go up to the T.V. and give it a good kick when I saw her...errrrr. She just kept going on and on! I was thinking...man o man, I can't wait for this bitch to be takin out by a crazy monster or bug. But wait! I recieved an even better ending of her life. When that small dude took her out with a few shots to the belly and head, I swear, I can't remember being as relieved watching a movie in my entire life! No joke, I seriously stood up and started pumping my fists in the air so hard and screamed "wooooooooooooo!" (like I did when my ex gf told me,"we are through") Man, what a great feeling..

So, my question is...

Was there a scene, situation, character killed, or any other part of a movie which has made you feel more relieved than ever before????

And i'm not looking for the day that good news came from your doctor--"you don't have herpes sir!" :D

that was the part of the movie i didnt like.

i though this movie was good at challenging the viewer .. a lot of unexpected thing happened (especially the end)

the gratuitous crowd pleasing death of the religious nut was out of place in the film. it would have been far more interesting and true to form had she survived.

as far as enjoying seeing bad guys get blown away ...pretty much all of them .. the more fear and suprise they show at the end the better.
cant think of any 'best' ones off the top of my head.

(Coffee in The Abyss maybe)

Most aptly played by Marcia Gay Harden.

But, the topic of the thread made me think of:

I agree that the death of the religious nut was out of place even thought she was extremely annoying. I felt that the end of the movie was the worst. I never felt so depressed. There was any part however that i pumped my fist in the air haha but that would of been funny to see.

Perhaps I am the lowest common denominator here, but I loved seeing her dumb ass get blown away.

Probably the most satisfying to me ever is when Jim kills the soldier trying to force himself on Selena, that scene is just an amazing release for me.

Most relieved I was in a movie?

*SPOILER*
Dark Knight, when The Joker didn't hit the ground after falling off of the building.

Most disappointed?

About 5 minutes earlier, when the boats didn't blow up.

I loved this movie and you can add me to the list of people that liked seeing the religious nut get killed.I would have preferred her being killed by one of the creatures though.

I wasn't surpirsed or relieved. I kinda figured it would happen eventually. I did however laugh :D ...and was pretty happy that she bought it.
