In need of Horror Movie Assistance

I thought about posting this in the general thread, but I thought here, made more sense.

So for a person that's only seen Child's Play (and everything else that includes Chucky), Leprachuan Films, Nightmare on Elm Street (and Anything else involving Freddy) as well as Frankenstein, what advice would you get in seeing future horror flicks. Keep in mind, I'm not completely "horror retarded" just a little behind.

Have mercy on me.....please :(

You need to expand your horizons;)

As far as what you've seen and like, you seem to have a love for supernatural monster/slashers. Try the Jeepers Creepers series. I think you'd enjoy them.

Others:
Puppet Master series
Ghoulies series
Friday the 13th
Critters

All of these seem to be right up your ally. Watch them and report back. Then we'll start working on branching out.

Flayed! I'm shocked and dismayed!

I was certain that you'd point her towards the HDC Top 100 threads.

By the time you watch through the movies on those lists - specifically The Official HDC Top 100 - you'll be a horror pro.

Man, I waited FOREVER for that to get a region one release. It's nice that it's finally making the rounds after being overshadowed by Ft13th for so long.

I just always had the tape. The R2 DVD was kinda hard to come across too. The R1 release looks great I'll have to pick it up sometime.

Some more recs:

Motel Hell
Martin
The Thing
Maniac
Demons
