The Regional Thread: Mid-Atlantic

Hey, I got inspired from the NEW ENGLAND regional thread, so I figured I'd make one for the Mid Atlantic. So anyone from New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, DC, New Jersey, and Delaware feel free to post here. We are the original "melting pot" for industry and immigration.

Shout outs to : New York Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Giants, Jets, and Rangers
Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, Flyers; Pittsburgh Pirates & Steelers; Baltimore Ravens, Orioles, and Blasts; Washington Nationals, Capitals, Wizards (though you guys "stole" the bullets from Bmore, it's all good), and Redskins; New Jersey Nets. :)

* Note no disrespect to NJ or DE--I don't think you all have as many professional teams as some states (though I know many teams train or practice in your states. Like Redskins train in VA but plan in Landover, Maryland, Jets are in Jersey, etc)

From Baltimore here as well, though not really a sports fan except for the occasional O's game.

So are you from the city or really the "Baltimore Area"? :p

The City. Born and raised.

410 + 443 :D

Really? I grew up in the county, but I live in Chas Village now. What neighborhood are you in?

Leprucky Cougar 10-03-2008 11:10 AM

Cool. Charles Village. I have a few friends from there.

Ace of Cakes is actually 5 mins from me. There cakes are stupid expensive though, we looked at wedding cake there, but they start at $500.

It's a really great town, but you have to know where to go, because a lot of the best places aren't really advertised.

The one near Monument St or Bayview?

Leprucky Cougar 10-03-2008 11:25 AM

Monument. I was born in the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

My cousin lives across the Street from Bayview.

That's cool. I've never been over there, though I know that part of town has a bad rep. Have you ever had any problems living there?
