Dude, that's totally a Clive Barker story from The Inhuman Condition!

Sounds like one of the episodes from Tales From the Darkside that I remembered, wish I knew the name. I just remember a hand in a tree preaching to all the other hands and he rocks the corny one liner, "The revolution is at hand!".

Oh boy....I'm extremely confused now.

he wrote 6 volumes of the books of blood, volume 4 was released in the states as the inhuman condition. the first story in volume 4 is the body politic (which was used in the movie quicksilver highway)

I've got volume III of Books of Blood. Great stuff man I haven't read Clive Barker in ages.
