The Girl next Door

by Jack Ketchum....

Now I dont read books, really at all, but the two i read recently were RED and Girl Next Door...........

Anyway, this is about the girl next door.A very brutal and graffic novel, actually based on a true story, somehwat.

If you are weak stomached and cant stand constant rape and abuse, the its not for you.But its a book worth reading.Got through it in 3 days.Almost impossible to put down.

Read the book Off Season by Jack Ketchum. The most violent book out there, no debate. Its brutal as hell, and really good.

I have just recently started reading Jack Ketchum, and he's pretty good. Off Season was good, and yes brutal. As for The Girl Next Door, the events it is based on are absolutely horrifying and I am not sure if I could stand reading the book or watching the movie, honestly.

The Girl Next Door was the only book I ever had to take a break from while reading. Ketchum (Dallas Mayr) is an IMMENSELY talented storyteller that really cuts to the chase. I love this author, and have most of his books as signed limited editions. JUST READ IT!!!!!! Poignant, sad, topical, immensely readable, poetic, confronting...I could go on. Just READ IT!

I have read this it is actually based on the true story of Sylvia Likens, you can read it here http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/n.../likens/1.html

An American Crime, the movie is more true to her story, A Girl Next Door has many similarities. But it is truly a brutal, in your face book.
