Looking for the name of a movie
 

I just watched Rudy yesterday for the 1st time ... great film - but after all this time it wasnt the film i thought it was when i bought it.

the one i thought it was involved a short boy who was in love with a taller slightly older pretty blonde girl.
She was in love with a bigger athletic guy ..

i think in the end they all became friends ...

does that ring a bell for anyone ? i think it was in the 80's and all 3 leads were fairly well known names at the time.

no - i know that movie well .. and there definately are some simularities ..but it was a smaller film than that ... not that much of a comedy

it also had football which was confusing me even more..

ok, this isn't very interesting, but my neighbor is in the theatre scene in that movie. she walks in front of the camera or something, i can't remember but i do remember her showing me when i was younger.
