I'm Published!

Story Time!
So I've been doing a bit of writing. Yeah I know, nothing new there. While I do have several new film projects in the works (one of which I'm dying to talk about, but can't) I've also been working on other evenues for total world domination.

That might sound like a bit of an exaggeration, but I assure you I AM here to dominate. I will not be happy until I have all of you twisting in agony under my global influence - fuck that, aim high, how about intergallactic influence?!

While you all anxiously await my next film, TV and comic book effort - yeah I'm delusional like that - I have a few brain droppings available to you in the form of a pair of short stories published in two seperate anthology books. I'm pretty excited as these two pieces are the first two stories I've had published.

The First is my story Z NOIR published in DARKENED HORIZONS 5 http://www.darkenedhorizons.com/ It's exactly what you think it is, a noir-style zombie tale told from the point of view of the recently deceased (or rather re-animated.)

And I have THE FLESH SHOW available for download as the e-book TEN NAILS http://www.freewebs.com/tennailsebook/apps/webstore/ It's a story about a boy who runs off to join a traveling carnival and gets everything he ever wanted... but at a price.

Enjoy the goodies and until next time...

Who is Brian Droppings?

Well, I attempted to buy the Darkened Horizons as a download via Paypal. They charged me $2.99, the transaction went through and they gave me no way to get the download.

Lovely way to do business.

Nevermind- I had to go back to the website and click on a bunch of stuff till I was finally given to option to download the pdf- by clicking on an icon. No hint like download your order here or anything like that.

Their checkout system is far from user friendly, imo.

I'll read the story tonight after work.

And congrats, Sean.

Sorry for the rant.

GODDAMNIT!

Not to piss on your parade Rod, but everyone else is getting published but me....

Congradulations, i am green with envy. :D

Congratulations! It's a great feeling. And Vod, PM me with some details on your stuff, I might be able to help you out.

Z Noir is an excellent short, Sean. Seems like a setup for a longer work- a screenplay, perhaps?

And there's a word left out of one sentence- these small presses need better proofreaders!

Exciting, gory & gruesome. Looking forward to reading more of your work!

These small presses need financial support from readers to hire some proofreaders.

Thanks. That's a great compliment. I was pretty nervous about sharing these. I just started writing short fiction last year. And I'm essentially mining the screenplay concepts I have that don't seem developed enough to stand up to feature screenplay length.

I don't want to give anything away, but your take on the zombie phenomina was fresh and original. It quite impressed me!
