had to look this up - someone was feeding me bad info this morning - told me 40,000 films were lost including origional prints of King kong.

The whole San Fernando valley was a cloud of smoke. I drove by Uni yesterday and the tower of smoke was creepy.

The BACK TO THE FUTURE/GREMLINS town square burned to the ground:(

Oh well, at least rebuilding it will finaklly provide a few jobs for Hollywood crews who have been screwed by strikes and runaway productions.

if celluloid was burning that would make the smoke very toxic as well

yeah, it was stinky early in the morning.

I guess the good thing about all of this is that it happened on a Sunday and not many people were around. It is good no one was really hurt or anything.
