why do you think everything uses memory cards nowadays? Its because they can charge an arm and a leg for the memory cards, which are more or less needed for almost all tech lately.

80$ for an 8g card isnt bad at all

I'll PM you the reason ..

4GB is more'n enough - the savegames take up minimal space, so you'll more than likely have over 3.8gb to spare at any given time - so, if you're not using the m-stick with any other devices, consider the PSP outside of gaming to be a movie/mp3 player - is that how much space you'd usually need?

8gb sounds great and all, and probably would be at a cheaper price - but I've spoken to many a consumer that has had problems using them with the PSP - There's reports that they don't always format properly, take multiple attempts to do so, and that sometimes, for no apparent reason, the files on them just don't seem to pick up - not saying this'll be the case all the time, just that I've heard of the most problems with the 8gbs.

hmmm thats too bad cause it really would be handy to have an 8 gig.

you could have at least 4 big games, 4 movies, and still have room for a lot of mp3s on there.

Phalanx 05-24-2008 05:37 PM

Size of the games really isn't much - the save and settings data retained from the game, and cache memory is TINY, you're talking about kbs, you can have a LOT of games without it moving over like...250mb-500mb.

8gbs DO work though, I just hear about people having problems with them more.

Is an 8GB really worth it though? I mean how much music do you listen to during the day? I'm thinking I should buy a 4GB card and just switch the stuff that I use on it depending on what I feel like listening to/playing/watching that day? Anyone see a problem with my logic?

You can never have enough storage. NEVER.

I would go with the 8GB just because it would help you if you do listen to a lot of music, want to download movies or old TV shows onto the PSP, and also let you save the games and whatnot.
