Transformers 2
Does anyone know any new bots or plot lines for the sequel?
I know about the whole writer strike and it may be pushed back past summer 2009. |
DINOBOTS and CONSTRUCTICONS are in the 2nd installment

there wasn't one in the first shit installment why would you expect one in the next. truly the worst film of the year |
I suspect Grimlock (voice of Chris Tucker) will be found by the kid from High School Musical and they'll become the best of friends, until Megatron returns to wreak havoc on the earth and only the Autobots, the Dinobots and umm...let's say Tom Hanks... can stop them! Shia La Boeuf will return to lend wisecracks and heart.

Was that two pages or three?
Yeah, I agree with Rod...pick a random episode from the original series and in the 20-something minutes of watching, you'd see a deeper storyline. I mean shit, Starscream didn't even try to overthrow megatron... The transformation effects was all this film had going for it IMO - the fight scenes were nothing but clutter. I'd hope IF there's a second one that they get a new writer/director, a better way to convey the action scenes...and...a WAY better plot. I think the whole thing might work a bit better in a semi-futuristic setting. I'd like to see a better version of Soundwave, maybe some kind've evolution type deal, I dunno...anything NOT the first reheated. |
The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

I have to see the transformers movie, i am morally obligated to. Of course, I will probably continue to pine for a ive action version of the original movie, complete with orson welles and eric idle as voices. I dont care that welles and robert stack are dead, just sample their dialogue over a live action/cgi rerendering of the entire movie, and get real actors for the human roles, voila, great transformers movie, complete with inspiring cheesy 80s soundtrack (have to keep that too. "You've got the power!") On a side note, has anyone ever noticed that the song that Dirk Diggler was making towards the end of Boogie Nights was the "inspiring" theme from the original animated transformers movie? |
