Listen to my song
So, in my latest Heartist Carnival segment on my podcast, The Dark Verse, I wrote a short song to change things up. This was my first attempt at writing a medieval-like song. Let me know what you think!
You can either go to my site to listen to it or just click this link: Heartist Carnival: Remnant III Here are the lyrics to the song: VERSE I Give of your heart To the solstice of your soul, When the goblins dance And sing in soothing seething. Leave for the dead All of withered wonders past While you tread through the black with wings of retribution. CHORUS Build a castle high On rock and broken bones; Shelter for the wise. Train the restless soil With faith and hallowed prayers; Raise it from the grave. VERSE II One last romance For the lonely of a world Where fire rests in air And burning is traditional Wounds to the sky, Do you ever wonder why There are nightmare things That have unholy power? CHORUS Build a castle high On rock and broken bones; Shelter for the wise. Train the restless soil With faith and hallowed prayers; Raise it from the grave. |
Needs a lute;)
good job, I'm not a fan of the effects on the voice, but you've certainly succeeded in creating a very "medieval" sounding song. now check my songs www.myspace.com/revseankeller |

Now let me listen to your own. |

Great tune but I think it really does need a lute or maybe a Crumhorn.

Thanks for sharing, guys. |
Perhaps Renaissance is a better word to grasp what I was going for rather than medieval. I really just wanted it to be creepy and catchy.
Thanks for the nice comments, Chrono. |
