Altered and Below

Anyone else watched them? I saw both back-to-back last night and I must say I was impressed by them overall.

Altered was lacking in script, but had some really strong lead performances and good direction and atmosphere to boot.

Below was really good too, with some nice moody atmospheric touches and taut direction. I really thought the script could have been better, though.

So, anyone knows any more such movies in which the script is genuinely lacking...but is made up by excellent directional pace and performances?

Altered is a lot of fun.
i thought the acting felt really forced, especially from the guy who died in the bathroom (dont know how else to explain him)
damn cool mosnters though. some "what the fuck?" scenes too.
havn't seen below.

its by the director of the Blair Witch project too, i think.

I haven't seen Altered yet, but will check it out soon.
Below was much better than expected, I liked it a lot.
