The Character Of Marya Zaleska

I am glad that you have enjoyed seeing some of my costumes. being from the Mardi Gras City. I have a few more that I will put up again in the near future.

I have had some comments why do I do a character rather than just be myself. That is a very legitimate question. And I certainly have no problem being asked it either.

First of all, I enjoy doing it.

I have nothing to hide. My picture is not in any post offices or anywhere else.

I love horror movies and I am looking to try to develope writing as a career after I retire. I need stick to what I know and that is classic films and TV, and very notibly the horror genre.

However, doing a humorous character based on one of my costumes relieves a lot of stress for me. I have a lot at my job and have constant deadlines.

You will have noticed that I have done more posts tonight than usual. Well, I just put in an eleven and a half hour day with filing deadlines both tomorrow and Monday as well as two sales tax audits coming up next week.

So doing my thing here at the forum gives me great relaxation and doing the funny character ( A granny vampire) releives a lot of tension.

Also the character of Marya sort of sets the scene for reviews on the classic horror films.

So Marya , granny wig and glasses, corn cob pipe and creaky bones will be around for a while. Remember, vampires do not die! Lol!

I really enjoy contributing to and commenting on the forum.

However, I won't be able to do as much as I did tonight! We vampires need rest too!

Being able to escape into a character (especially on you play so well) must be a great release for you. At the very least it makes things interesting and you bring something new and unexpected to the forums. Keep it up granny, make sure you're back in the box before sun-up.

In a dress by night and a box by day! What a combination! Lol!

I'm actually being a horror film host like Zacherle and Vampira from the 50's and 60's, and our own New Orleans favorite, Morgus The Magnificent!

Needless to say I cannot compete with Elvira. I have several of her shows on DVD but I like to watch her more than the movies. She has some very outstanding features.

I am actually considering after retirement getting up a group of volunteers who like to costume as various characters and entertain at retirement and nursing homes. As you can see I am a big ham!

Now if we could get Zero to write so eloquently about why he enjoys being a cranky poo slinging simian.

sounds like a legitimate answer to me.
