Really Bad News
from Variety:
Management firm and production entity the Collective has acquired horror-film website Bloody-Disgusting.com.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the site will provide the Collective with a means to identify new talent the company could represent while also serving as a promotional tool for the projects its filmmakers produce.
At the same time, the new owner will enable the site to beef up its offerings to genre fans, with plans in the works to stream full-length pics and user-generated videos and to build its social-networking offerings.
The Collective reps such talent as Forest Whitaker, Martin Lawrence, Eddie Izzard, Emile Hirsch and John Leguizamo and recently produced the pics "Big Momma's House 2," "Are We Done Yet?" and "The Nanny Diaries," as well as TV show "Wild 'n Out" on MTV.
So now Bloody-Disgusting will simply be the marketing arm of a production company instead of an independent source for horror new...and their track record sucks.
I'd suggest that anyone here who visits the site regularly go and un-register. The site is no longer valid.
