Censorship

okay, i wore a shirt to school today, and come 3rd period when i was in Band i was made to change. needless to say, i was not a happy camper.

the shirt in question:

it's a picture of Rob Zombie's American Witch
(yes, i scanned it)

now, she was naked and i was just not going to wear the shirt at school anymore but i said "fuck it" and drew a dress on her. turned out better than i thought it would. i can't wait to show Shelli (just to go "HA!" in her face).

i think this is censorship, without the marker you didn't even see anything it was just [I]implied[I] that she was nude.
anyone else have problems like this at school whether it be with clothes, writing, etc?
i don't know, i guess i'm just bitching about nothing again.

I remember back when I was in school and the Big Johnson shirts were real popular my school cracked down on them big time. They sent everybody home that was wearing one the day they started the ban and if anybody wore one again they would be suspended for a week.

you don't know how lucky you are. I havent yet been to a school where there isn't a school uniform. It is kind of cencorship but also, the face that she's naked is a bit extreme. Similar to puting up a poster of a penis

It's insinuating that America is all about sexual intercourse and occultism. I can understand why an american teacher wouldnt approve, even though we know its just a cool picture.

Good job with the dress though, I didnt realise you added that till I read :)

ahhh high school.... I got sent home a few times for "inappropriate" hair colours and t-shirts. Nice to see some things never change.

Nothing more all-American than stifling creative expression...it's a real tradition.

I got MANY a suspension arguing with the teachers... and then principals about my clothes.

They would make us wear ours inside-out...I suppose they had some kinda problem with Ozzy, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, etcetera...

The irony is...We weren't supposed to wear them because it was 'distracting'...Yet, no one EVER noticed, until we were wearing our shirts inside-out...As soon as someone saw someone wearing an inside-out shirt they had a million questions..."Who busted you?" "What does it say?"...and then the discussions "That's bullshit"..."What's wrong with THAT picture (shirt/etcetera)?","Show me the picture", "I hate that bitch/dick, she/he only busted you out of spite"...etcetera, etcetera, etcetera......THAT was 'distracting'
