Dark City

I was wondering why the movie "Dark City" doesnt get much love on this forum? I love this film. Firstly pretty cool and original idea, you get to see Melissa George naked, and also has the stunning Jennifer Connelly in it. Made by the same guy who made "The Crow".
Have many people seen it and whats their opinion of it?

I loved it.

I'm a big fan of weird movies that makes you wonder what the hell is going on untill the very end. :)

And the Dark City ending was stunningly brilliant.

Very cool flick. Probably Proyas' best effort thus far.

Hmm....so 3/3 love it. I can only guess that not many people have seen it then? I would describe it as "Blade Runner" x "The Crow". Its a very dark film, has an excellent story thats different. It has a creepy little kid in it.....and must I repeat Melissa George NAKED.....
But in all seriousness if you havent seen it go rent a copy as you should enjoy it.
Let the tuneing begin....

i'll give it a watch. it sounds like dark city is to you what event horizon is to me. sometimes you watch a movie that strikes all the right chords but not many people rate it. same goes for creep. i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Dark City is one of my favorite sci fi films. A very dark, intriguing film. Love it and would strongly recommend it to anyone here that hasn't seen it.

Yes,I've seen it and I thought it was a pretty good sci-fi flick!

It's solid. There's some stuff that's really cool about it. Richard O' Brien for instance.

Did "the matrix" better'n the matrix did, and more'n one person could actually act in this one...
Great premise, solid performances all around, visuals from oppressively dark, to stunningly beautiful (sometimes within single scenes), with an excellent musical score.
Saw this at the cinemas without any information whatsoever, and to this day glad I'd the opportunity...Still one of the better sci-fi films of the last 10 years.
