The Tingler

I think that they should be showing this one more often with Percepto in the theaters. It was such a cool concept.

All of William Castle's concepts were pretty damn cool.

Anyone know if the rumor that Perceptp killed an old man is true? I've read in several fanzines that the jolt stopped some guy's pacemaker, but it sounds like an urban legend to me. David Skal, a guy who should know, said the only person to die viewing a horror movie was some kid with a heart problem who had a cardiac arrest while watching Universal's re-release double feature of Drac and Frank.

William Castle rocks by the way. Even read his book. Ever see Matinee, which Dante kinda based off his career?

That does seem like Urban Legend material. I never heard anything about a Castle law suit, so it must be. Hehe.

Matinee was a cool flick. A nice little tribute to the man.

I agree but I don't think it'll happen just due to the expensive for what would be a rerelease. Actually there's a place where I live called The Guild Hall and they did a similar thing with I think Scream 2 where the dressed up the theatre with body parts and it was all interactive with noises and props. They did a few more like with Austin Powers and Harry Potter but they gave up. Shame.

I always think of the original House On Haunted Hill where they would have the skelentons fly across the audience and how well that would work these days in a theatre packed out watching a horror movie.
